| Description | Taking 1 in 14 images from the full stack, this is the substack processed using mode B, depth mapping, with a radius of 50 and smoothing 1. As you can see the bands of out of focus are reduced significantly and the detail like the white sphere on the leading edge have been resolved better. This is where data from an in focus image replaes that from the foreground where it is close to an in focus pixel. So a pixel which is less out of focus is selected than one totally out of focus. This is handy where you have an out of focus start ot the bracket, and insufficient overlap, but is not useful generally. |
