A riot of spikes. This is taken looking down on a young teasel. The overall colour is a centre of bright green fading through yellow to white, covered in a mass of red edged spikes. The centre is a twisted spire of spikes, each going from a bright green ed colour base up to a white body, either edge of which has a dark red rim with tiny spikes. The centre is surrounded by a series of concentric rings of spikes, each of which is a curved cup reaching up around a small bud. The buds are white balls with a dark red blush on top. On the outermost edges of the frame the spikes are pointing out almost horizontally from the flower and farther layers of them gradually fade into out of focus between the upper layers. The overall feel is of looking down on a green ball of covered in spikes, each coated with dried blood. It is a bright image though and feels very alive.
