This is a false colour image of a clover. The clover flower fills the frame angled slightly to the right as though seeking the light. The individual florets are white, with a green light towards the base, and a magenta hue at the tips. The base of the flower and stem is in shadow.

Clover

DescriptionThis is the only flower that was picked for shooting. This was because I wanted to do something a little different in the studio. The flower head was illuminated first with a normal LED light. This was then replaced with a UV tube, and the 2 resulting images combined, with the UV fluorescent colours superimposed onto the 'daylight' image. If you look closely, you can see the free loader who snagged a lift home with the blossom. Which happens more often than you'd imagine. Almost every flower has some tiny insect living in its depths, no matter how small the flower, and when getting really close, they sometimes become very apparent.
