The heart of a Herb Robert Flower. The centre third of this wide image is the stamens emerging from the white throat of the flower, covered in yellow pollen grains. The candy striped white and magenta sides of the flower show the texture in the petals with the front and rear out of focus. The stamens stand on white columns with a texture like that of lignin cells. The tops of each stamen are deep red and similar in shape to a brain, with 2 curved hemispheres divided by a channel. Hidden almost in the centre of the stamens is the dark pink anther which can be seen to have small hairs running up the side. The pollen are small yellow balls around the size of a grain of sand with slightly flattened faces where they grip together. The pollen almost totally coats this flower. The petals have a slightly rough texture, and are very reflective with many bright spots reflecting the overhead lighting.
