A brilliant orange poppy flower shot in close up. The petals fill the image, with the stamens to the centre right reaching out towards the left of the frame. There are 4 petals in quadrants, the edges lining roughly towards the corners of the frame, with the lower left and upper right petals in front of the other 2. The texture of the petals forms concentric rings of shadow spreading out from the centre. The centre of the flower is a cluster of around 40 stamens, each reaching out and topped with rich yellow pollen. They are only a few millimeters long, but look large in the frame, each being perhaps a fifth of the frame width in length. The lighting being from the left and above slightly, the lower stamen cast a shadow on the petals.
