| Description | Down deep in the stems of the long grass, this was very visible from above, but needed considerable finesse to shoot, clearing grass stems without disturbing it. Apparently these are common, but I haven't shot them round here before. Difficult to expose for to get the details without either blowing out the highlights or losing the fine detail on the wings. This has been reprocessed using linear mode in Affinity, to remove the tone curve, and that has made huge improvements with the ability to get detail. All of a sudden the scales on the back have detail instead of blowing out. I will be reprocessing a lot of images this way I suspect now. |
