Licensing
All photographic images on the site are copyright © Rob Daykin and licensed with a Creative Commons 4.0 license. The specific license allows only for personal use, not commercial. Commercial here includes training of AI models or use of those models for commercial gain. The images are free for non commercial use only, and if you do use them require a credit/attribution. Modification or creating derivatives is also forbidden. Details of the license are here Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License
If you would like to license any image for commercial purposes, then I'm happy to discuss your specific use case. Pricing will be part of that discussion and will depend on the scope of your needs. I do not license works for "exposure".
Prints
The images as well as being licensable are available as prints. The images from my exhibitions are available via the gallery, or from me directly and details are below. Other images are available on demand.
The images from exhibitions are presented as a limited edition. The show prints are 50x40cm, either portrait or landscape. The Fungi images have a white border in a classic art gallery type presentation, with the idea that they would be hung in black oak Nielsen Apollo frames. The limited edition is of 5 prints per image, each signed on the reverse with a certificate and a tag id to link the two. Which means I won't be signing any more prints of those images ever again, but I'm ok with producing prints of them in other media or sizes, not as part of a limited edition. Including borderless versions of the fungi, on request.
The show prints are on Fuji archival paper. They should be good for much more than one human lifetime without appreciably fading or degrading. They also offer a really good gamut, and I've had no problem matching them to my screen, so the images are bright and solid.
All the images can be produced at any size up to 50x40cm on photographic papers at full quality. Some of the masters are large enough to go bigger without a problem. Printing on different media such as canvas will allow all the images to go much larger, and generally I'm open to talking about formats and media.
Pricing
I am trying to find a way to support myself as an artist, so the question of money has to arise. Unless you'd like to pay me in kind. Note I do not have a freezer, so half a sheep is not practical. The prices I'm setting have been based on research across a number of sources. I recognise an economic downturn is not an ideal time to start trying to sell what is probably to many a luxury item, but if a picture makes you happy, what price is that worth over the lifetime you'll own it?
All prices exclude postage and packing. The limited edition prints are sent to me for signing and registration, then I forward them on to you. As a result I'd rather not deal with shipping frames, with all the hazards of breaking glass. Typically p&p I would think would be £6.95 in the UK for Special Delivery. I need to check, but that may be higher if I need to send via courier.

Other sizes and media
The prints above are photographic prints on photographic paper, and as such are ideal for showing the maximum detail at a standard size. However there are a range of fine art papers available where you can use Giclée inkjet printing to achieve a higher quality or larger product with a texture or a tone. The prices for this are slightly higher, but the results are excellent and very tactile.
Alternatively there is the option to print onto canvas and stretch this onto a frame, what's called a canvas wrap. Typically this is more textured but by printing larger you don't lose details so much. This is ideal for some of the images, particularly landscapes. I've not thought much about offering the close up or macro images this way, but some of them will be quite suited to it, like the Golden Poppy, where the impact comes from colour.
Beyond that are options to print onto wood or metal panels, for different mounting options, for laminates or face mounts, and then we get into framing options, such as floating frames. I suggest if you are interested in the options, you have a look at Loxley Colour, Whitewall or ThePrintSpace for options. Artist Proofs
I have a handful of artist proofs of exhibition images. These are also 50x40cm and they can be purchased for £50 each. Since the exhibition ones differ slightly from the hung images, they are made available as seen and not returnable. Ask me if you're interested, and I'll let you know which ones are still available, and how they differ.

We can discuss what you'd like in terms of media, sizing, mounting or framing options. It's possible to collaborate via some of the printers in order to allow you to see soft proofs of images not already exhibited. All of my collection is available for printing or licensing.
I don't have an account with any payment providers as yet. If this becomes a regular business, which I hope it will, then I will start looking into adding a payment section here. Until then payment will be by bank transfer, with my details over email. I may setup a specific print website, but I dislike all the options I've seen for various aesthetic, technical or cost reasons. I would rather do my own site for now.
Shipping will be by Royal Mail to UK destinations probably. If you order something I need to sign, the prints will come via me, and I have a good local post office. If you are ordering overseas or the prints can be shipped directly, or you've gone with a framed print, then it will be shipped from the printer. Either way delivery will be tracked. Generally I would prefer to ship from me, just so I can quality check, but if you're ordering from NZ say, it makes more sense for me to contact a printer in country to ship to you.
