Common Darter Female

Common Darter Female

DescriptionAfter standing at the top of the field trying to catch the hawker dragonflies in flight, again to no avail, I was heading down through the hogweed to see what was on the meadow.  This young lady flew up to my face then circled onto a nearby flower head.  She stayed there a long time, occasionally shifting her position but seemingly happy for me to approach and move around her.  I did try focus stacking, but there was enough movement that I did not get any good results.  In the evening I watched the DP review of the new Olympus consumer zoom, which was so full of misinformation about MFT lenses that I will no longer be watching their videos.  Some cobblers about all MFT lenses showing diffraction as soon as you stop down.  Utter bunk.  There is a a lot of nonsense being talked recently, and I am disappointed that two reasonable reviewers are now adding to the misinformation.
