| Description | Part of the ramparts at least, commanding the view to the other side of the bay. Though as a Napoleonic French man'o'war I think I might have preferred invading England. Warm afternoon sun on one of my Christmas trips home. The reverse angle panorama of the fort is a bit boring, the fort is still there, but the island got quite good at one point at making the coastal fortifications boringly safe which including blocking up any internal access with big sheets of metal that may not improve safety but certainly spoil photos. |
