| Description | Taken at ground level looking up slightly with on camera filters. I worked very hard to get the camera dead level here since I needed the ND grad to stop the top blowing completely. The panorama does extend further to the sides, showing more of the wood to the right, but this is the framing I wanted. Unusually for me I also kept the lens wider open to reduce the depth of field to the foreground tree and roots. Normally I would close down the aperture to get the whole front to back in focus, or focus stack. In this case the bold shapes work even slightly fuzzy. |
