| Description | Aphids on a scrub oak being farmed by black ants. I saw these on a walk and came back the next day with the tripod and heave macro gear to film and photograph them. Lots of images, but it was nigh on impossible to keep movement from intruding. The ants massage the aphids to get them to push out what looks like a clear sap that they drink, presumably that is based on the oak sap. |
