DescriptionIt rained non stop most of the day. Finally clearing late afternoon. I initially planned to shoot this in the shed, but the rain made it miserable getting out there, and the leaky roof made it difficult to keep dry in the shed. So I came back up to the study. While shooting this looked fine, I took a range of angles and used HD across a huge range of stops to produce this. I used a reflector to remove light from the edge of the skylight blind, but managed to miss the light reflected from the hallway. In post it became obvious the highlight on the left of the goblets was showing the hallway reflected off the wardrobe mirror, so I darkened that side manually. I think next time it needs a dark barrier behind the camera to limit the light sources when using reflective subjects. Though I could perhaps have used a polariser.
