Secateurs Egg

Secateurs Egg

DescriptionI have been looking at one of the photographers on ephotozine who does a lot of still life work. Many of her images have a quite subtle colour palette, almost duotone or hand coloured type look. So I took some bits out to the shed to explore the colour palette using similar objects to her. Unfortunately I have now become quite fed up with the behaviour of one particular person on that site, and they have triggered my decision to reduce my activity and presence on there. This therefore is not the image I uploaded that they offered unsolicited criticism on, but a different image, somewhat coming out of the Art of Photography ideas with the egg, and partly the use of the open secateurs, which create a rather good contrast with the egg surface. Sadly I think I need to redo this with a bigger depth of field, because I have blur on the front of the egg that was not visible in the view finder even on magnification. I suppose it could be due to the HD processing, but I doubt it since the wood and blades are sharp.
