Orange Fungi

Orange Fungi

DescriptionA couple of feet off the ground.  I went back to the same spot I had seen the coral fungi the previous day and was astonished to see earth stars, some very chestnut coloured tiny gill fungi, a pink bracket and these all within 10 feet or so.  I settled down and spent a happy couple of hours till the light went grabbing lots of focus stacks for processing later.  This group was shot last of the ones in that area and I needed 2 lights, one on camera, one on a spike to get the details of the gills.  It was also a real pain to get the tripod situated.  Despite the artificial lighting I love the 3d drama and textures in here.
