DescriptionAll the previous day there were over 20 sparrows feeding in the garden, stripping the feeder in a day. So the next morning I put a blanket and some cushions down and settled down with the 300mm and the CZ 180mm to see what I could capture. The sparrows proceeded to boycott the newly refilled feeder, but I took this as an example of the utter nonsense talked about lens equivalence. This was shot on the CZ 180 f2.8 Olympia Sonnar, at f2.8 adapted onto M43. Tell me that is a huge depth of field. Tell me that lens is not behaving exactly as designed albeit on a smaller sensor. I really must spend some time on the maths and physics of optics, I keep getting started on it then distracted.
