Description | A walk over to the fields looking to capture a thunderstorm. Initially there was a heavy rain shower about when I got to the top of the field, which I grabbed a panorama in. However the panorama needed HDR to get the clouds, and by the time I did that the shower had stopped, so I have a mediocre panorama with rain streaks but little sky detail, or a better panorama with some cloud detail but no rain. This is one frame pulled back in exposure to show the sky detail with the land in silhouette. Wandering up through the fields the weather just got better. I cannot get the shot of the church I had in mind as the foliage is screening it, which means waiting for a winter storm perhaps. And of course, having taken a wide angle out the kestrels had their baby out teaching it to hunt. I did get some pictures even with the 25mm because the baby was completely ok with me standing at the base of the tree he was balancing in, but nothing worth keeping. |
