A long thin white stem curves over a bed of brown and copper leaves to a narrow black tip, with a dark orange collar.

Dog Stinkhorn

DescriptionNot Phallus Impudicus but its cousin the Dog Stinkhorn. This is the only example of this I've seen and is the farthest flung of the images in this collection coming from the undergrowth in Black Park. The dark head with the collar is rather different to the more common Stinkhorn, and I think rather more photogenic.
