These are a selection of images taken at the Eastcote House Classic Car Rally on the 10th Sepetember 2023.
I'm not normally what I would consider an event photographer, and whilst I enjoy classic cars, I find them photographically really interesting as abstract art opportunites. These cars will have been photographed hundreds or thousands of times during the day, and will have ended up all over social media. Hopefully however not looking quite like this. Nor hopefully in the size and printability these are. Typically these will print to about 4'6" (140cm) long edge on canvas, should anyone be interested in these as wall art, please see my print ordering page if you would like to hang one or more of these.
I have not recorded the specific cars, nor have I written extensive descriptions about the images and the cars. I will leave that to the vehicle owners, if they wish to send me words.
From a photographic perspective, all of these were shot in hand held high res mode, using a manual focus Carl Zeiss 50mm lens. I thought that the 'vintage' lens would both allow me to get nice abstracts and give a quality to the rendering. I hope the resulting images, not always in sharp focus and ultimate detail are pleasing.
