| Description | At first I wasn't sure what this was because of the extreme colour. It was really vibrant, most craneflies being rather drab. But from the shape it was clear it was some variant on a cranefly, and after checking it doesn't look like the tiger cranefly because it is missing the horseshoe under the wing root. That said, very colourful, and very patient. If only it had picked a spot on the leaf less in deep shade. |
