| Description | I should probably rename this portfolio Bees, Wasps and Hornets. When I first saw this lady, I thought she was dead, there being some strands of spider silk over her, and not moving. I wanted to grab a picture though because hornets are hard to shoot, never seeming to settle. However when I got the mirror out for extra light, she started to stir, and moving her antennae. I think she was having a nap, but even after disturbing her, she stayed in the same place, so perhaps she was considering this place for a nest. In which case I won't say where it is. Absolutely gorgeous colours, and very photogenic. I am somewhat intrigued by the 3 eyes in the middle of the forehead, apparently basic light intensity detectors, so probably why she woke when I increased the light level. |
