| Description | This is a fledgling because it has not yet developed the mature neck ring. It has been setting up home in the top of the palm tree where there was a prototype nest along with a second bird. I suspect these are this years hatching, and are playing house, not seriously intending to mate, but anything I suppose is possible. A few days later they had also given up on this site, possibly because unlike the blue tit nest further down this is directly on the level of the windows and visible easily from the house. One thing I did check thoroughly though was that this was a dove, because like this it looks more like an albino corvid. |
